A Mission to Help Provide 100 Billion Meals to Those In Need
Recently, Guitar Center Music Foundation had the honor of participating in an unforgettable recording at iHeartRadio in support of 100BMeals, alongside legendary producer Jimmy Jam and an extraordinary group of artists who came together for a powerful cause.
What unfolded was more than a recording session — it was a celebration of music, unity, and purpose.
The energy in the studio was undeniable. With Jimmy Jam helping lead the creative spirit of the project, the room was filled with both history and heart.
Generations of artists gathered not just to create, but to contribute to something much larger than themselves: a mission to help provide 100 billion meals to those in need. It was a reminder that music has always been a vehicle for impact, capable of bringing people together in ways few other forces can.
To commemorate the moment and further support the cause, Guitar Center Music Foundation donated a one-of-a-kind guitar custom-wrapped by artist JD Shultz.
The instrument was transformed into a true piece of art — bold, expressive, and symbolic of unity. What began as a beautifully designed guitar quickly evolved into something even more meaningful.
Throughout the event, we had the privilege of meeting iconic artists including Will.i.am, Force MDs, Run-DMC, and many others whose influence has shaped music and culture for decades. In an incredible show of support, many of them signed the guitar, turning it into a living piece of history.
Each signature represents not only a legendary career, but a shared commitment to giving back.
The journey of the guitar did not end at iHeartRadio. It later made its way to the 2026 Grammy Suite, where even more artists added their names. With every signature, the instrument becomes more powerful — a growing testament to collaboration, compassion, and the unifying power of music.
For Guitar Center Music Foundation, moments like this reinforce why our mission matters. We exist to provide instruments and support music education programs for communities in need, because we believe access to music can change lives.
Being part of the 100BMeals initiative was a natural extension of that belief. When artists, producers, and organizations align around service, the impact extends far beyond the studio walls.
What started as a donation has become a historic artifact — a symbol of artists across generations standing together to fight hunger and uplift communities. It represents the best of what the music industry can be: creative, generous, and driven by purpose.
We are deeply grateful to Jimmy Jam, the artists who participated, and everyone involved in making the event so meaningful. Music has the power to inspire action, and when that inspiration is directed toward helping others, the results can be extraordinary.
At Guitar Center Music Foundation, we remain committed to using music as a force for good — because when creativity and compassion meet, real change happens.
