Support MUSICIANS
By supporting musicians, you’re giving them the tools to thrive. Through grants and donations, we ensure music stays accessible to everyone, from schools to communities in need.
MUSIC MATTERS
The Guitar Center Music Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to keeping music alive and accessible. Through instrument grants and donations, we empower individuals and programs with the tools they need to create, learn, and express themselves through music.

For some, music may be just a hobby. But for others, music serves as a crucial lifeline – a path to healing, an opportunity to nurture untapped talent, an escape from the grim realities of everyday life, a break from generational trauma, or the start of a social revolution. Thousands of individuals nationwide benefit yearly from the foundation’s grants and other efforts aiding veterans, hospital patients, the unhoused, and those affected by natural disasters, as well as youth in both schools and after-school programs.

Learning to play an instrument can have a significant impact on human development. From improving social and academic skills to building confidence, nurturing creativity, and relieving stress, the benefits of making music are limitless. Unfortunately, music education is routinely—and mistakenly—undervalued.

GCMF Grantee, Middle School Music Teacher - Nashville, TN

We don’t have the resources to purchase or replace the instruments we have lost. These materials will give my students the chance to explore music and express their creativity in completely new ways. I am so excited to have some extra ukuleles so that students will not have to share.

GCMF Grantee, Sunday School Music Program Organizer - Austin, TX

This grant gave us the ability to provide instruments for the students who had none. It has opened up so many creative opportunities for them to explore music and express themselves.

GCMF Grantee, Veterans Rehabilitation Program Administrator - Brookfield, WI

Support from GCMF has made a meaningful difference in our program. The grant allowed us to expand our use of music as a therapeutic tool, giving veterans across the country more opportunities to engage, express themselves, and support their recovery through music.
